- There is no other city as charming as Quebec City in all of North America.
We know that this is a lot to say.....but you simply must visit. Quebec City is the only walled city left from the Colonial Days, and the history just sparkles from the days of the wars between the English and the French for the control of North America.
From the ramparts of Dufferin Terrace at the doors of the Hotel Frontenac, you can see the broad expanse of the St. Lawrence River spread out before you as it rolls to the Atlantic Ocean, almost 1,000 miles away. You can explore the “Citadel” the fortress that once guarded the river from attacks by just about everyone at one time or another.
You can hear the “clip-clop” of the horses on the narrow stone streets.....and you can ride in a caleche (carriage) and ponder the ancients who lived here. The food.....ah, yes, the wonderful, hearty French-Canadian cuisine. Simply elegant, in a country sort of way. Quebec City is home to the Parliament of the Province of Quebec, and every year the city seems to get friendlier and more hospitable. No, you don’t have to speak French to have a wonderful vacation.

Nearby is the shrine of Ste. Anne de Beaupre and the wonderful aroma of fresh bread in the ovens. So much to see!
And on the way to and from Quebec City, we will pass thru many small villages. Your Tour Director will point out he finer points of life in Quebec Province. Our last night will be in Vermont so you can compare the relaxed atmosphere in the 2 countries. Oh, so much to tell you. We don’t have room here, so let us begin your tour here......
